Terms of use

Version 1.0, in effect from the day this site opens.

These terms are the agreement between you and MoroAcademy Training Consultancy Services ("MoroAcademy"), of Cotabato City, BARMM. They cover this website and the MoroAcademy Digital Platform. By creating an account, registering for a course or ordering a publication, you agree to them. Please read them together with our privacy notice and, for paying for a course, our registration policy.

Your account

You need an account to register for a course, see your learning and receive certificates. You must be 18 or older to create one; a person under 18 needs the consent of a parent or guardian, which we do not yet offer (see the privacy notice). Give your real name and a working email address, and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us at once if you think someone else has used it. One person may hold one account. Staff roles that have wider access must use two-factor sign-in.

If your office assigns you to a course, your office manages that assignment. Closing your office's membership does not close your personal account or remove certificates you have earned.

Registering and paying

A slot on a public course is held for 48 hours while you pay. You can pay online through our payment provider, PayMongo, by scanning a QR Ph code, or by bank transfer or GCash to the account shown on your order page, in which case you submit the transfer reference there. We confirm your slot as soon as an online payment goes through, or when our staff find the matching transfer. A screenshot alone is not enough.

Prices are shown on the course page. Course fees are refunded only in the cases listed in the registration policy. You can move a paid slot to a later run, as that policy explains. If we cancel a course, you may choose a refund or a transfer.

Guidebooks and manuals are ordered through our inquiry form. The price depends on the title. Guidebooks are sold as PDF for now, and printed copies are coming soon. We confirm payment details when we reply.

Online courses and videos

An online course gives you access for the period shown when you enroll. Videos in online courses may be played through YouTube. Please do not share a course's links, downloads or your login with anyone else, and do not record or republish course material.

Certificates

A certificate is issued when you complete a course under its completion rule. It shows the name you entered at registration, the course, the dates and a verification code, and anyone with the code can check it on our website. We may revoke a certificate that was issued by mistake or obtained by breaking these terms, and we will tell you why.

Our content and your use of it

Course materials, guidebooks, manuals, templates and the website are owned by MoroAcademy or by the people who wrote them, and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive right to use them for your own learning and work. You may not copy, sell, share or publish them, or use them to train another service, without our written permission. An organization that wants to share a guidebook among its staff should ask about an organizational license.

What you write on the platform, such as questions, answers, assignment submissions and notes, stays yours. You allow us to store it, show it to the people who are meant to see it, and use it to run the course.

How to behave

Do not use the platform to break the law, harass or deceive anyone, post content that is unlawful or that you have no right to share, try to get into accounts or records that are not yours, or interfere with how the platform works. We may hide a post, suspend an account or end access if these terms are broken, and we will explain why.

What we promise, and what we do not

We take reasonable care to run the platform and to keep information accurate. Courses, guidebooks and consultancy give practical guidance. They are not legal, financial or other professional advice for your particular case, and laws and rules change, so please check the current source before you rely on a citation. We do not promise that the platform will run without interruption or error.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for loss that comes from your use of the platform in breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under the law that cannot be limited, or our responsibility for fraud.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we publish a new version with a new number and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in or register. The version you accepted, and when, is kept on your account.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Please write to us first at academy.moro@gmail.com so that we can try to settle any problem. If a dispute goes to court, it is filed only in the proper courts of Cotabato City.
